With Bread & Butter, your App is what you link up to your website, for Analytics, Conversions, and User Journey. Creating an App is likely the first thing you’ll do when you sign up for Bread & Butter.

Don’t have an App yet?

Follow these steps to sign up and create an App:

  1. Head to https://app.breadbutter.io

  2. Enter your email address and click the next arrow, or use the enter key.

  3. Follow the steps to create your account, if you have not done so already.

  4. Once you’ve successfully created your account and logged in, you’ll see the Create App dialog:

  1. Enter a name for your App. This can be your company name, or your website name. Don’t worry, you can change this name at any time.

  2. Enter your website domain. If you’re ready to start setting up Bread & Butter with your live website, enter that domain.

If you’re using Bread & Butter on a dev or test website, enter that website’s URL.

Don’t have a website ready yet? Don’t worry, you can just leave this blank.

  3. Click “Save & Close”.

Your App is now created. The most important thing you’ll need now is your App ID. You can always find this under App Settings in the left menu, or on the Dashboard page if your App doesn’t have any activity yet.

Now that you have your app created, you can begin configuring your website for Bread & Butter.
